Indeed it is but being an academy product DCL has no amortised value attached in effect he has nil value attached
He’s not an academy product. But the fact that he was £1.5m means he’s an important player should we sell. As almost all the transfer fee would be profit.

Ideally the best scenario for our ffp would be some nut job dropping £30m on an academy product like davies or gordon. As 100% of the fee can go down as profit.

I think.

Can you imagine the court case if they ever did something like that retrospectively. Absolutely going nowhere this nonsense, the two of them can bleat as much as they want but it'll fall on deaf ears. Accounts are signed off and if they're fraudulent people's liberties will be taken not points.
It would delay the start of the season, premiership and championship. premier league then breaking tv right deals. Getting sued by sky etc for billions.

Considering moving this to World Football until Everton/worthwhile comment.

At the moment it's just cry arsing desperation from egotistical owners looking for outward blame.

Feels unfounded/unnecessary misery causing to worrywarts.

[Edit] Bit odd but if this post gets 30 like reactions that's what we'll do. I don't like moving any EFC debate to World Footall but think we could make an exception here.

Your right in the point about not knowing what had been said but his point is why are Evertons numbers so out of sync ?

The fact that the numbers are on rolling 3 year basis you can bet your bottom dollar if other clubs could inflate their numbers they would yet they haven’t.

This won’t impact the 20/21 season but I don’t agree that it will take an age to resolve it will probably be into next season and even then it’s possible that any decision ( whatever it is ) will go to appeal and even then potentially to CAS

.
Again, though, Everton's numbers being out of synch with other clubs is not an issue for Everton FC. The guidelines on what could be accepted as a loss changed...as a result of a decision made by an organisation called the Premier League. Why Everton's figures deviate is something for the PL to answer. They effectively took responsibility for that when they allowed Everton to present their accounts without challenge but rather with further guidance on reducing the losses.

This ffp nonsense is infuriating...nothing will happened but I am sure we want to encourage rich owners to invest money in the country and not having to stop investing because the richer clubs wants to make sure they stay at the top.
