Investigation into underwater noises in search for missing Titan submersible are 'negative', says US Coast Guard

The noises were picked up by a Canadian plane with underwater sonar capabilities. But the US Coast Guard says an underwater investigation has "yielded negative results".

I did hear one person who had been on a previous ‘dive’ saying passengers are made fully aware of the risks and have to sign ‘risk waivers’ in case tragedy happens but it’s still an awful event.

I don't think "yielded negative results" means the banging noises were nothing; I read it as meaning they can't locate them.
