Hindsight is 20/20.

Ignoring standards and safety regulation goes a bit beyond talking about hindsight, its criminal negligence and possibly manslaughter. Far far too many people do things in their working life because they can and not because they should. 999 times out of a 1000 you get away with it, but safety regs are there for the 1 time you don't. I've had this argument with too many unqualified bellends looking to please the bosses.

Aye, you have to sign them in this country even for pretty trivial things too. Like if you want to swim in a lake on a managed site.

I'm winding you up, but the 'what about...' is naff.

End of the day, human life is human life.

Some tragic cases invoke more sympathy but that's different to laughing at others or using them to point score under 'what about...', IMO.
