It seems like they will have at least had a quick end. They might not have even been aware there was a problem. Quite possibly is was institutions. Considering the alternatives that might be kindest possible way for them to go.

How couldn't they be aware? Isn't it like a 12 hour trip they were on?

instantaneous*

you had me worried there, thought the area 51 lemons had snagged another soul...

200 m from bow, in area of no titanic debris field. found in area where they lost contact, could have just give up and popped, no power outage just a sudden crush. dreadful.
Dreadful? Aside from being miraculously rescued this was the best outcome. Carbon Pressure vessel shatters and death is instant.

I'd be amazed if they even managed a scream.
Probably the best outcome all things considered. They’d have ran out of oxygen by now and it would have been a horrible 72 hours for them. This way they probably knew very little about it.
Exactly. Lay in the dark, waiting for the air to run out and freezing cold.

3 to 4 days to question your life choices, question why you took your son with you.

That's nightmarish.

When CF fails it just fails. If your hull splits at 3000m you'll be dead before you even register there's a problem.

Ohhh I didn't read the implosion comment. Thought you meant they wouldn't have noticed an issue after 4 days of a 12 hour journey lol
