So your point is you would rather dodgy VAR decisions than dodgy ref decisions

I see no difference atleast with how it used to be you could celebrate a goal without hoping VAR didnt notice Richarlison's toenail was offside.
I don't think the VAR decisions are dodgy. It's giving decisions based on the rules we have now. The fact you or I don't agree with some of those rules is a different matter all together.
I'd rather see someone (correctly at the end of the day) called offside for a toenail than someone incorrectly called offside when they're a yard onside.

I'm convinced a lot of the fume is because it's new. It seems that a lot of people are complaining about it being too precise.

My issue is exactly that mate - as I said two people could litter - one accidentally and one on purpose yet a police officer should treat both instances differently using common sense.

With VAR you dont get that - Bamford pointing to where he wants the ball to go to is not the same as someone scoring whilst being in an offside position so why is it treated the same?

The point is what advantage does someones sleeve being offside give Vardy scoring with his foot?

It doesnt therefore it shouldn't be chalked off but it would

If you cant see that VAR is causing just as many problems as it solves then I dont know what to say and quite frankly im at the point where football can GTF for me.

I watched the Saints/Wigan Grand Final and got more entertainment watching that than I have none Everton football matches these past 12-18 months.
If you think it is not the right rule that is different than VAR being bad. What you're saying is you want the rule changed.

And as usual a no to you talking about anything that is relevant. You're at the GOP level of changing the focus of a conversation.

How is it? I'm asking you, sincerely, if you ever really played the sport before.

You can only know so much by watching/reading about it online. Some things you claim aren't natural you can only say if you've ever played it properly yourself (I don't just mean the odd PE/gym lesson in school).

The Rule as far as im aware has been this way for a while but VAR is taking that rule to the nth degree.

The technology im fine with but lets use some bloody common sense when using it.

I don't remember claiming anything is/isn't natural, only that players are good enough at controlling their bodies to adjust.

This convo you were having was discussing natural footballing body movements. You're still ignoring the question though about playing football so we'll take it as a no.

But you can play it without having your arm bent 90 degrees at the elbow with your hand away from your body and those started being given only for people to complain anyway. Maybe an in between is necessary but where the rule is now isn't good. Defenders get away with a lot and I think it is more intentional than people want to acknowledge.

Yeah I'm saying that players can learn to try and block things without putting their arms out. I don't care if it is "natural," I think football has spent a long time being a bit too lenient on handball and an attempt to reign that in wasn't the end of the world even if it was made to seem that way by Gary Lineker and Steve Bruce.
