But I mean they are not drawing the lines with Crayons. I'd imagine they have access to a ruler, so that should be fine.

I take the point about what part of the body, but you're still going to have a human drawing a line.

Whatever the faults of said human, they will have a better idea than me, you or anyone else shouting from our living room that it looks closer. I am frustrated, the goals v Leeds and Rotherham looked v close to me, but we have to get on with it. It's as close to black and white as we can get.

Im not so sure, I think if you give 10 different VAR officials the Mane, Bamford or any other offside incident, you would get 10 different sets of lines

Why would you? I think that's nonsense I'm afraid mate. If they have technology akin to a ruler or better, and are above the age of about 8, you will get the same line.

I have to be honest, that sort of stuff isnt helping massively with VAR. Believe me I'd live to go into wacky theories of "they bend the lines" as that racist moron Henderson stated, whe we have had very close calls ruled against us, but they have the best tools available to make the decision.

Theres lots to complain about, but line calls isnt one. And if they cant draw a straight line, we may as well give up as we are into Karl Popper territory of only proving untruths.

Why - a person is pausing the frames to where they deem correct, he or she is then drawing the subjective points of extremity for both indiviuals.

If you look at the one in the Villa v Southamption one at the weekend. They draw lines, Ings is onside, they appear not to be happy with that (Important to note the Flag) went up) So they redraw the line, literally though the defenders arse to get ings offside.

I think you are attaching all sorts of presumed meanings to what's going on. "They appear not to be happy with that", what are you basing that on?

Come on mate, this is conspiratorial nonsense. Why would the VAR guy be unhappy? He just wants to arrive at the correct decision.

As for the person pausing it "where they seem correct" again they pause it where the ball is kicked. It's not complicated. The technology is clearly very good, and we can all click when the ball leaves a players foot.

I know might sound ridiculous, but if you play fifa or PES it's easy to see how easy it is to stop a recording once the ball is kicked.

Offsides are really the least of the problems here, and I say that from the perspective of a team who's had more go against them than most.

Specific to the southamton villa one, it appeared to the viewer that VAR "redid" the lines to support the linesman. Simply watch the clip.

Im not buying into a conspiracy theory here at all, what I am saying is human intervention will lead to different results. That seems to be what happens when you look at where lines are being drawn from etc

I mean tahts your interpretation. Maybe they were going through the workings on the result?

I'll be honest, I'm not convinced all the working should be shown. It's pointless. If you want to show lines on the final edit then that makes sense to me, but in terms of the workings, I really don't see anything to be gained from that.

In all likelihood it is perfectly innocent. It is a guy getting to the final and correct decision. It's easy to make out there is some untoward reason, but there is no benefit to be so. It just takes a bit of time to arrive at the correct conclusion.

Just so we’re clear lids; Obviously ok to hope the RS get beat tonight. I get that and 36/38 times I would be right there.
As a matter of protocol, it is completely out of order to want their opponents tonight to win though. So; RS to lose = Good, Vermin to win = Bad.
As long as we’re clear.

We also call the RS vermin so Brighton need a new name.
