Agree, although you should have the best teams at the finals. There shouldn't be a case were Gibraltar qualify for the world cup instead of Germany.

The minnows should play each other with a promotion and relegation system to higher groups, but qualifying only possible from the higher tiers.

Dont agree with that part, any side that is good enough to qualify should do no matter who doesnt. The problem is, again, its down to money. If they did split the groups the smaller nations would lose out financilly.

Minnows beating other minnows to qualify over far better sides losing out in a top quality group hardly sounds fair.

Whichever way you cut it, Gibraltar beating a group of minnows say San Marino, Andorra and Liechtenstein wouldn't mean they deserve a place ahead of the second or third team from a group of Spain, Belgium, France, England and Germany.

Any of the above would murder Gibraltar, the qualifying can't be fixed to mean a punch bag of a team qualify instead.

Of course that's fine as then they'd deserve their place. It's what I meant with promotion and relegation from the lower tiers. There should always be a pathway for any smaller team to improve and eventually achieve their dream.

They absolutely are an easy target, there's no doubt about it. Why is it when an Eastern country like Qatar secures the WC, it is known as "corruption" or done by "brown envelopes"

so the notion that Qatar’s is Ok, because there is other corruption elsewhere is laughable.
