Not necessarily, I’d argue it’s more the fact that it’s A. An incredibly petty thing to do for a premier league club. And B. Was always going to provoke this kind of response as virtually any mention of women in football gets met by this kind of response.
It’s a case of cause and effect. Leeds can, and seemingly have doubled down on it, personally I think doubling down on it and not apologising and removing the tweet, despite the vile abuse it’s caused is tasteless.
Whether intentionally or not, those tweets have caused KC horrific abuse and Leeds should recognise this and maybe apologise and not do it in future.
