Today's Football 2018-19 Season

yeah field hockey, i think i remembered playing it in PE when i was about 7 and being told it's not allowed to hit a foot. As said, it would stop a whole lot of the controversy in football if it was just a clear law. I don't know why, but the sport has a weird fascination with having load of laws that are open to interpretation. In any sport you'll get officials that will view a foul differently, but they still have a lot of good laws and rules in place which are clear. Football's just run so stupidly and so behind the times.
My sister plays so I have a reasonable grasp of it and I know for sure any foot touch is a foul. I don't think football should go to that regarding handball generally but on goals it just defeats the whole purpose to let it stand when the guy scores with his arm.

If he was fit he would play a lot . What about Gomes, lovern, matip, lalllana .
Liverpool are in the title race on merit . Hope they do not win it.
But people saying they get no injuries and that is why they are Is bs too.
Only 11 players can be on the pitch. Only Matip is a guaranteed starter from that list. Who is O-C going to play instead of?

BTW, I think that most of us recognise that they have been very good this year.

Football is a squad game. Gomes was a regular too before injury.

My point is they are there on merit and injuries has little or nothing to do with it .
Most posters can see it. I was responding to one of those that cant

I seen somebody somewhere, think it was the Solskjaer thread, claim that United fluked the league in 2012/13, despite them finishing 11 points ahead of City. Total bullshit. You win the league, over the course of a 38 game season, on merit.

Aided by some very, very, very favourable officiating

After an encouraging start to their Euros qualifying which included proving far too strong for San Marino with a fine 2-0 'comeback' victory.....

Scotland have rather surprisingly decided that such a brave and resilient performance is not enough and have given Alex McLeish, still one of the most successful club managers in Scottish football, the order of the axe.

Chopped his legs from under him just as he was threatening to win the trophy

Scotland manager Alex McLeish sacked after just 14 months in charge

A job for Davey Moyes perhaps!

I am convinced that this is neither accident nor incompetence. It helps to always have the option of 'interpretation' if it keeps the money rolling in. Endless TV pundit debates, a ban for this player but not that one, a dive here 'interpreted' as a foul there, no fine for this team but a fine for that one. Ad nauseum.

Is that apart from Gomez and Oxlade-Chamberlain who've been pretty much out for the season? Lovren, Lallana also injured at the moment. If you only ever look for ways 'the RS are spawning it' then that's all you'll ever find.
How much is any of those people going to affect them, except maybe Lallana?
