Gomez was first choice centre-back alongside Van Dijk until he got injured, likewise AOC was first choice in centre mid for the entirety of the second half of last season, until he got injured. Lovren has been out for spells and Lallana has not been fit for about 2 years now, properly. To say there are no inuries is nonsense, and the fact those players 'haven't been missed' is testament to their replacements rather than evidence that they weren't important in the first place.

I think I agree tbh, all I keep hearing about VAR is "we shouldn't have it because it stops the drama".

Last night proved that this is total crap, as well as being so wrong. This is a multi billion pound business, not a soap opera.

Haha, 24 hours, I saw the headline and thought it was stupid, but only for a day? Jess, what is wrong with people. You either feel strongly and totally against something or you don't. Something like this hardly screams "I'm outraged". I serve social media, it gives idiots a voice, I would swerve it even more if I was a footballer.

If you just have it for goals, how far back in the play do you go? Someone bringing the ball down with their arm for someone else to slot is hardly any better. At least with any touch its clear. The problem with footy is I think players now have training on deceit. I mean, they can't all just know how to fall over making it look like a foul from birth. They'll start knowing how to make deliberate handballs seem accidental, if they haven't already.

I just think if you make it anytime the ball hits someone's arm it's handball then guys will learn to smash it at people's arms from close range.

Sorry I thought that we were talking about this season. That reminds me, in 1962 we had eight players out injured at one point.

To be clear, I don't think Liverpool are winning the league purely down to luck. They are a very good team, best they've been since 2013-14. You'd have to be an idiot or biased to say otherwise.
