It has been over since we lost to Spurs.

this. the sad thing is, i think that it's only the mass of injuries at the worst possible time that have cost us, not our overall quality.

we've seen squad players like oviedo, stones, naismith, osman, delafeou etc. all come in and do jobs which shows imo we do have the depth and quality in the squad to deal with the odd one or two injuries.

but when you have to play liverpool with half a team half-fit and then chelsea and spurs away with all 3 strikers injured it's terrible luck rather than a lack of quality.

positive signs i suppose, especially given how much of a transition we are in.

when you look at the fact our centre mid partnership is totally different, our two attacking players are totally different (barkley can't really count as a player last season), our backup right back is in his first proper season, our backup centre back is new, our backup wingers are new this season and our two backup strikers are new this season as well.

it is a massive positive we can take that even if we don't get most of the loanees back next season we have managed to take to this massive transition pretty well and have actually improved, imo, from last season where we had a team who all knew eachother and had been playing together for a good few years.

We all cheering Spurs on then? Rather see them get 4th than the RS. Have to say im not overly bothered between finishing 5th - 7th as we couldn't cope with Europa. Plus i can't stand Norwich, another team who take points off us but lay down and die for them. Come on Spuds

CL or EL spot for Liverpool: either way can you really see them juggling competitions and not unravelling? I cant.

If they get in the CL they'll need to buy another team to go with the one they have to shoulder the burden. It'd be exactly the same for us in the EL too.

according to the commentator he doesnt need to score to play just like pele, fair enough theyve been good but the media love in is horrible
that was embarassing wasn't it? i could put my boots on for the first time in a decade, stroll onto anfield and smash one from the semi circle for it to trickle a good 10 yards wide of the post with the keeper sipping a cup of tea watching it go by.

would he say "shades of pele for me"? good god no

The only reason you score 70 goals in28 games is being good not lucky to think anything else is bitter plain and simple

Did I say anything about the rest of their goals/games? I said they got lucky with the bounce for their last goal today, and that we despite putting Chelsea under more pressure away from home did not get that sort of bounce when we required it. Not bitter at all, just my opinion. I don't like their style of football, int he same way i didn't like Rafas or Mourinhos. The league position of Chelsea and Liverpool show it to be effective though. Doesn't mean I have to like it. Nothing bitter about that either so wind it in.

They've got the money to do that though haven't they?

We haven't

Where would we be without the stunning 30 yarders and free kicks top of the bottom half, far to reliant on them and now they have dried up dropping like a stone

Not really that much of a positive given everyone else will improve over the summer. Liverpool will spend big for starters, as will united.

We had our chance of top 4 this season and we blew it, we won't be getting a chance as good as that again, if ever.

We are are a 6th/7th place team, that's just the blunt truth of its and nothing will change unless we get new owners who are minted.

they don't have the squad for it imo.

their front two are a couple of levels above the rest of the squad and then they have a few good players like mignolet who you would say are european standard, but champions league? nah.

same as, really none of ours are CL standard, rodgers has done a brilliant job to get this squad in with a sniff of the title, it has to be said, but having to juggle both, they would have to buy a mass amount of players imo
