Difference being Liverpool like it or not are still regarded as a massive club in Europe.

Signing a far better class of player will not be a problem.
There commercial side of things like sponsorships and the like is all ready on par with United's without Champions League football.
There on the verge of extending their stadium capacity bringing xxx millions a year.
They have shown they will pay big wages if they think the player is worth it (Suarez £200,000 a week)

I could go on but in truth Liverpool getting back in the Champions League is a nightmare for everyone including the teams above them, I think Mourinho knows this and one of the reasons he sold Mata to United. The top 4 may be about to start being between 5 clubs which is something the normal top 4 didn't want especially if FFP actually does what it is supposed to.

The Dnipro player staying put doesn't support that mate. They are seen as a EL parking spot and attract mostly that level. Next season some decent players will commit if they now have a CL spot, yes. But some top quality ones will look at CL qualification this year as an abberation while United sort themselves and wont commit.

So basically what people are saying, we'd need Duffy, Garbutt, Lundstram, Kennedy for the Europa League rather than loaning them out. So we'd be qualifying for a competition where we'd be happy to play our reserves and go out in the group stage? Seems pointless to me.

I think amongst all this debate, gentelman, we can all agree that as long as we have Billy Liar and his gang of hucksters and ne'erdowells acting like a dead weight on the club we'll see no success whatsoever.

That divvy will leave Everton after about 18-20 years having presided over a regime that won the square root of precisely nothing.

A club like Everton.

What an utter failure.

he'll be here until he dies sadly

No, but it means almost for certain we wont progress up the league with that workload doesn't it? Spreading ourselves thin with players of a lesser quality will be a sensible thing to do if you want to survive.

I cant understand your position here: are you saying the EL workload wont affect Martinez's ability to get a CL place?

I personally think we're more likely to win the EL if we qualify for it then qualify for the Cl if we don't.

can anyone confirm the fact i heard yeaterday?

apparently yesterday hull scored 4 for the first time in an away game in their history?

may have just been in the league, but was an utterly astonishing fact.

seems like it may only be in top-flight.

606 were saying ever ffs, uselesss bells.
