Bobby goes about his business very cleverly

yep moyes was always a bit coy and thus we were always in the dark (probably the best way to avoid getting gazumped/putting the price up), but yeah, bobby seems to have that "i don't care if others know about my plans" attitude. impossible to say which approach is better tbh, martinez' does sort of put added pressure on kenwright you would think as it will be viewable to the whole world if he'll constantly not stump up enough funds for transfers.

Cleverley looks like a good player under Martinez and he was good at first for Man u, but as Man u lost their skilful stars, they started relying on Cleverley to do stuff which put massive pressure on him. Did cleverley play with James at Wigan?

I wanted Cleverley when he was at Wigan. The negative press will hopefully keep his price down. The only issue is he looks like a dirty southern ponce. Nothing a good barber can't sort out.

I fully trust Bobby, he's fantastic and I trust him 100%. The fact that he likes him as already swung me into wanting this to happen now.

Brilliant manager who knows exactly what he's doing & what he wants from a player.

This image makes a good point for me:

McManaman looked a top class player under Martinez last season. Not so much this year for Wigan.

Same could be said for Moses, he hasn't been the same player either.

Some managers can get the best out of people. I was a little concerned that our defenders might regress but Distin has had his best season, Jags has been consistant and Coleman is the best RB in the world. Oviedo looked transformed and Baines has remained top class.

So whoever Martinez wants to add to the squad, I believe he will have a clear focus and role for that individual within the collective. Signing English players and turning them into stars is an excellent way to go in this league.

If we're in Europe we are going to need a full squad. Or we'll struggle for numbers next season
True but we don't need dog dirt such as Cleverley. Barry, McCarthy and Gibson fighting for the two midfield roles, with Osman as an emergency option, is surely enough.

Him vs us a few years back.

No doubt his career has stalled under Moyes but theres a player in there. Theres a reason Sir Alex left Sneijder after Clverleys impressive form in July 11'.

However United won't sell him as he's a youth product.

After Barry and Gibson we should know better by now........

Roberto worked with him at Wigan. He knows him better than most, if he thinks he can do a job then so be it.
