The fact is I've seen him play many times over the last few years and I've NEVER been impressed by him. He defines mediocrity. The lad doesn't excel at anything. Why are we signing average players for the sake of beefing up the squad? It might make "sense" but its very safe.

I hope he turns out to be an absolute boss for us I really do. I'd happily eat the humble pie served. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

My apologies...you keep banging on with the notion that this his 'glamour signing' which frankly is bollocks.

I'd call it a luxury signing since it's free.
I haven't banged anything or anyone...you sure it is me?
I said once that if it is El Chico's major signing for the Summer we are in trouble.

For free? That wants to come to us as England international level? At 25 years or around that age?

He isn't our main signing and I'm sure there's many better midfielders out there but when you consider everything it makes a lot more sense to go for him than not. And he wants to come us. Sound that.

It's the 11% of the plums against the signing mate the noise. Like the utter tits who signed a petition to say they didn't want him to be in the England squad for the World Cup.

Whoppers the lot of them. I hold Evertonians to higher standards than that.

The amount of drivel you post and then you come out with something like this? You're a complex man Chico

@chicoazul has an opinion?? Bookmark it and screen shot it because it'll be edited if it's wrong. So you're 100% behind Cleverly and think he'll be a success at Everton? Or are you just against people being negative toward new signings? I'm confused as you're usually shouting from the nearest fence.

If you hadn't noticed I have been giving lots of opinions lately, even if I mean about 2% of them.

I also do a massive preview most weeks in the season with loads of opinion that no one reads.

But sits on the fence massive head etc.

To me, signing Tom Cleverly just screams lack of intent/ambition. We'd all be pissing ourselves if the RS had signed him. I'm not buying that there isn't a better midfielder out there than Cleverly who we could bring in at an affordable price.

He's on a free and probably won't be playing every week.

Rather have someone who wants to play for us than someone crying to foreign papers about 'broken promises' and threatening to leave for CL football.
