There will be epic vaulting in this thread, and I will laugh.
I've been doing some reading up on him, sounds like he just lost his way a bit at Man U, fergie rated him as high as to say he's the best to come through since the class of 92.

His confidence took a knock bigtime but Sherwood had given it back to him and he was flourishing, Sherwood said he was the first name on the team sheet for him so it says it all.

There may well be some back peddling by October in here.

Was just taking issue with the fact @Del doesn't think he can pass or tackle. Quite clearly, he can. I mean, we're talking about a lad who played 22 league games in Man Utd's last title winning team.

Can't pass a football? LOL, sheer hyperbole from Del, who probably struggles to pass wind without it escaping on to the GOT forum.
I think Cleverly will be excellent for us and I'm a bit embarrassed that there's so many so called fans having a go at someone who just turned down other clubs to sign for Everton because he clearly believes in the manager and the team he's trying to build.

Villa played like Barca? When was this? LOL, they really never.

Must have dreamt seeing them play the likes of Liverpool and us off the park for 90 minutes then. They were down and out before Sherwood arrived and played some excellent attacking football, players like Grealish, Westwood, sinclair and cleverly are nowhere near that level over the course of a regular season.

My point as you have conveniently ignored still stands, he'll be a starting 11 player most likely out wide which refutes most people being made up he's joined as a squad player. The lad would have stayed put had he not been promised game time and Martinez loves the lad.

Can't tackle/shoot/split a defence

Goes missing more often than not always taking the easy option like a coward

Great signing
Probably one of the worst CMs in the country

Truly awful sign of intent from us as a club

Villa didn't even fight to keep him
Two cowards in midfield now in this joke and Barkley

Get off the fence mate and tell us what you really think

Well, he wouldn't have been on my shopping list but now that he is here I wish him well and hope he has a very successful career with us ;)

Totally, 100% concur with this... He's one of us now and much as I was against him signing I genuinely want him to be a raving success and make me and ALL the other doubters eat lashings of humble pie.

A player who is so bad England fans signed a petition to keep him out the side

Out the England side ffs, a side that has Henderson in it

We have signed the English Joe Allen, a nothing player

If Cleverley can get back to his very best, when he got into the England squad, he will prove to be the best free transfer of the summer. Note that Woy has already got him back in the squad...so I suspect that there is a feeling 'in the game' that Cleverleys time is coming. I think this couold prove to be another of Martinez top signings.

Can't judge him under new manager syndrome Sherwood as their whole team played like Barca.

Blimey. Now if that were true it would have put a smile on the face of Deadly Doug :)
Anyway, Cleverley, he's coming.

Quite a few people who know more about football than the vast majority of folk on here, rate him. Might as well get behind him and give the lad a chance.

Sounds like he was ahead of Delph, and a fair few have been raving about him, been a regular for England this last year too.

Lets just give the lad a chance, Fergie rated him very highly and he was no mug was he, from what I've read his confidence was shot, and Sherwood put some back into him.

Fergie rated Anderson mate

Oh, they beat Liverpool. Must have played like Barca then. Figures....
