Why are there people who always have to try put a positive spin on things? Be it Kenwright, martinez, osman whatever theirs always someone who just can't call a spade a spade. He's average and the problem is Martinez is increasingly looking like a man who wants to stockpile the starting 11 with his bum boys post the dressing room mutiny of 2014-2015, Naismith, Barry, Howard and alcaraz all players who have deserved punting this season to the bench but have been given key roles because they are yes men. if Cleverly signs full expect him to be in the starting 11 as he will play the crab sideways passing martinez loves.
The season before we signed him he had played twice for Uniteds first team.
That goal he scored versus Bayern was boss tho, I recall thinking he could be a player, but then he kinda just disappeared.

How many games over his United career did he play 90minutes in the League? He was mainly a League Cup player and 85minute sub. As you say he played 60 games in a 7 year United career, unless you watch United every week, you would struggle to catch a game in which he played.

I admitted I never watched McCarthy, I said he was a decent player and would be a cracking buy at abar 5m, I was wrong, but as I say, I never watched him more than 5minutes on MOTD and the games versus us where Wigan got mostly schooled, the cup game apart.
