Seem to remember him setting Lukaku up with a peach of a ball couple weeks back like but ok mate

Punted it 50 yards before getting the hook didn't he?

He's an absolute myth from a time where it became fashionable to find in English football 'The Next Xavi' - he's as average as the Welsh version at the Pit

He kept losing out in challenges. I'm sorry but I really don't rate him. He was half decent against stoke but has infuriated me in every other game.
Agree it wan't his best game, prefer him on the left anyhow myself rather than central midfield, but think he was far from awful.

He is still lacking match fitness after a bad injury - took Baines about 6 games to find his stride - why not judge him then.

Because Baines has a track record of around 7/8 seasons of being boss and shows his ability. This lad makes mistakes after mistake, shows no discipline in defence, and is cowardly in the tackle. I know I'm setting myself up for a vaulting, but he's utter gash.

Bold bit:????? Italicized bit: Spot on. Besic shows for it at every opportunity and we missed him terribly today.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread mate, there's a point about 80 mins in where Mori comes out with the ball and he runs away to hide in a position he couldn't possibly receive the ball.

His first touch is hilarious. He slows the game down like Osman without having at least a first touch or subtlety to back it up.

Did you go the game today? If you did, then you make have seen some of the things he did. But seeing that you don't go the game, then you wouldn't see it.

Not sure if he was asked to play this way but him constantly stacking the left side when we had the ball was effectively playing with 10.

Neither did you though chap, though I know you find it difficult to remember if you are a match-going type of not.

Good link player between midfield and attack and allows us to press higher up the pitch when playing in one of the 3 positions behind the striker. Not a centre midfielder for me, not enough influence on the game in that position.

I'm sorry mate that I didn't head over for a fifth time from N. Ireland this season and therfore had to make do with sky sports. As a result I bow down to your superior match going tendencies and render my opinion null and void.

It's alright mate, he didn't go either

I've finished work now and am going the pub to watch the game and am really looking forward to it. Wednesday's semi final second leg at City can't come quick enough. Booked a hotel as soon as the semi final draw was made, trains booked and could only manage to get a ticket in their end, but I'm not missing that game. Anyway, off to the pub.

COYB.

He goes to all the aways though... er... except that he doesn't.
