Why does it really matter? Some go every game, so never go, some go sometimes. But why does it even matter? Plenty of valid reasons for not going. But doesn't stop people seeing the game and forming an opinion.

I agree, plenty have valid reasons for not going to a game, me included. But the person orly is casting aspirations about when I go the game. And if I don't go the game makes even more aspirations about my opinions. If you want to get involved in this then that is fine. But don't have a go at me for something someone else is saying.

If someone is saying Cleverley is doing this or that, but at the game you notice he is doing the opposite then it matters. A wrong view of a player. That is unless that person has an agenda.

If that was the case why was Ross in no mans land and cleverly spent first half almost as a left mid and second half to the right of barry?
Because we were chasing the game, so Martinez wanted our central midfielders to push up and find space instead of holding their position. That doesn't change the fact that Barry was always sitting central and deeper than everyone else. Cleverley was never playing next to him. Be upset that he wasn't in positions you would have liked him to be in if you want, but he was never supposed to be playing as a holding midfielder today.

See Groucho's post ...

What's any of this got to do with Cleverly?

Are we saying now that people who don't go to every game are not allowed an opinion?

This is getting very silly lads. Please knock it on the head.

He's the football equivalent of beige.

A totally uninspiring nothing player

Bold bit:????? Italicized bit: Spot on. Besic shows for it at every opportunity and we missed him terribly today.

It's no wonder the united fans hate him. They are utter gash and he still was miles off being good enough

Are you that much of a buffoon, He was cm, and he was caught out time and time again

Can't all have an agenda, let's be honest.

Very poor today and average all season.

Aspersions?

Are you mentally challenged, Who said holding? He was playing in Cm, Point is he kept absolutely no shape or positional discipline during that game. If hes like that against city we'll get full on rammed senseless

See this? Not on mate.

Threadbanned. Debate, don't insult.

You were at the pub mate.

You were on here during the Newcastle game.

You shouldn't be in the home end at away games - ooh aren't you a risky superblue.

Lots of people can't make the game for a variety of reasons. Doesn't make their opinions invalid, which is what you are suggesting.

Those people of Hull think we are supergood though, hey.

I go as often as you do mate.

The Newcastle game was Boxing day. I never claimed I went the game. The year before, yes I did go. You may have to get up to speed. So you need to get your facts right. In all honesty, you don't know what you are on about. Elbow and backside springs to mind. Blinded by ....

I went to the game at Spurs in April 1985 in the home end. Risky blue me lad, like the other thousands of Evertonians that were in the home end.

You really are a plank, pal. 'Those people of Hull think we are supergood though'. A most incredulous statement if I've ever heard one. So the people of Hull's opinions are invalid? I bet the good people of Hull see more live Everton games than you do. You can try and hide behind anything you want, but you don't go the game. And you don't try and go the game. You want to snipe from the sidelines.

You don't agree with my opinions about Cleverley or Martinez. Fine. But don't show yourself up, lad, it makes you look like a divvy.

I thought Cleverley moved to left mid, Mirallas shifted to ACM and Barkley dropped to CM after Besic went down, with Pienaar being a like-for-like swap with Mirallas after the second injury.

Apart from del, we could go through the entire team analysing players who underperformed today. Cleverley was one of many who was off his game.

The problem is though, it's a bit like the gallows humour of Kone finding his form again recently after an early season blip against Sunderland.

He's not off his game if he is consistently this average.
