He was poor tonight and can be a bit snide but a useful squad player behind the likes of Barry, McCarthy and Besic though for me.

Cant play in the two in front of the defence. Shown that at United and Villa, put him in a three or out wide and he's sound.

This is probably right. He's a great bench guy/squad player. Those can be useful. We're just in trouble if he's expected to be a regular in our starting XI, which i don't think is the case

It's worth reminding people that he was a free transfer. He shouldn't be first choice but he's not a bad 5th choice CM or utility player for a club in our position. He may not have had a great game tonight but over the season he has proved useful.

It's based on his career. I've no real qualms about Cleverley providing he spends most of his time on the bench, filling in for injuries every now and again. I think Martinez sees him playing a far bigger role than that though.
