Hopefully, when needed. Bobby played him their for Wigan and from what iv seen if he is moved furthar back he tends to have a tendency to slow it down abit and play it simple.

Maybe pushed a little furthar forward on the left it could help baines overlap more and a bit more creativity instead of Naismith.

If we need a winger, centre back & no.10 than i think a recent england international, who is 25 & can play in 3 or 4 positions is a good signing.
Although their wern't exactly a barrage of teams looking to get his signiture
It's the linkage of Baines and Pienaar (Osman to a lesser extent) that we've missed, so if he fills that role, and we sign Lennon and maybe keep Kev, that's not too bad.

Even if that is the case i still think we need another winger. Delboy

Good signing on a free. Got him for his prime years, and if he doesn't play well they'll be some promotion club willing to give us a few quid for him.

Doubt it'll come to that though, think he'll add a touch of class and endear himself to our lot with his work rate.

It was only a couple of years ago that Cleverly was virtually a fixture in the England side. As an addition to the squad that can't be a bad testimony.

Too many similar players fighting for one or two positions would mean constant tinkering in the side week in week out and that means no chemistry which is exactly what we saw this entire season. One week Barkley on the wing, then at no 10. Naismith at no 10 then drifting oht wide. Lukaku up front or on the wings. It works on FIFA not in real football. If we sign Cleverly then Bobby needs to figure out which players are specific to what role. That was the main ingredient to his and our success in the first season. Delboy wasn't playing anywhere but wings, Barkley played only at no 10, Lukaku only played upfront and Mirallas only played on LW where he's most effective.

He's miles better than Gibson, who everybody seems to love. Funnily enough, everybody talked about Gibson in exactly the same way prior to him signing.

I can see a similar scenario developing with Cleverly.
