In the same way that most players careers are finished when they leave us surely it's not much to expect that it also works the other way round and most players careers don't start until they join.

This is the most important signing in Everton Football Club history. A dynamic player on the ball that makes teams tick. Exactly what we need to link the play up.

Amazed Man United have let him go so easily, as he could have been at the heart of their midfield for the next decade.

It's like being given a tub of ice cream but then finding out it's low-fat. I'll take it I suppose but I'm not buzzing.

I think this is a decent analogy. Or perhaps being given a tub of Neapolitan ice cream and then finding someone has already eaten the chocolate and strawberry bits. And then you remember you're lactose intolerant. And then you get this weird flash of repressed memory where your uncle and your dad were holding hands and wearing really short shorts and smiling, your mum crying in the kitchen while the Christmas turkey burned.

So vivid. Im right there in the room with you brother.

It was only a couple of years ago that Cleverly was virtually a fixture in the England side. As an addition to the squad that can't be a bad testimony.
I agree mate he was in the England side looking class - till Kevin Davis broke his ankle with an horrific tackle, a certain Clattenberg let Wigan kick the crap out of unt that game!
