before gibson signed he wasn't close to being 'gibson' either, just gotta wait and see how he plays for us first like.
Ive seen a lot of cleverly and in the here and now hes not a patch on even a half fit gibbo.

You're right though hopefully by some divine miracle cleverly will step up a few levels and be Ok

But we need a pinaar/osman type of player to do that role, otherwise you have the same situation you have with playing barkley, naismith there
we'll sign a pienaar type mate, as the playmaker though, cleverely is literally just a utility player who will take place of osman, playing where / when we need him.

We'll sign at least one other winger, and then maybe another i.e lennon and deulofeu, and we'll still bring in a number ten,

I wouldn't worry too much just give him a chance and he'll probably be worth the money just to fill the gaps over a long season when we have injuries. Not every player will be fit for every game so you need squad players like cleverley.

Honestly the way roberto faps about him i can see him being a main player

On a free I would have no problems with this. As others have said it's a win-win.

He showed glimpses for Villa that he could potentially be a decent little player. Seems to be a confidence player so hopefully Bobby will get the best out of him by telling him he's phenomenal on a daily basis.

Only problem with that though is:
The guy emptying the Goodison bins -- Phenomenal
The tea lady -- Phenomenal
Blue Gravel man -- Phenomenal

I think that Cleverley has taken way too much stick over the last few years that has been undeserved. As to his impending arrival, I am nicely balanced between being underwhelmed and overwhelmed. He'll keep things ticking over bit won't help us to surge up the table.
I am at more of a loss as to where he fits into a 4-2-3-1 formation, because he is not a 'middle of the three' person, or perhaps Roberto is looking to rip up the 4-2-3-1 and start anew.

Everyone's talking like we've signed him but I've not seen anything anywhere other than we are in talks, along with a few other clubs.

What have I missed?
