Not seen enough of him to pass judgement

Hes young, got 13 full England caps so he cant be 100% turd (yes i know pip got 50 plus)

Ill judge when hes settled in

The midfield at Everton next season will be fascinating.
It looks as if Cleverly is already in and we still have our main target of the summer to sign in a creative midfielder.
This will mean Barry, McCarthy, Gibson, Osman, Cleverley, Barkley, Besic and one other fighting for places in midfield. Of course we also hope that Ledson might be pushing for a place as well.

I would not be surprised to see a departure or two from that list . I think Gibson and Osman may be in a spot of trouble if we do make that extra signing.

Think he is quite tidy on the ball myself. Decent age and a free transfer...

Okay, lets see what he can do in a blue shirt with better players around him.

If players like Naismith can get approval from blues, then he will win over the boo boys in no time.

Add to that the likely breakthrough of Ledson and I'm inclined to agree.

Gibson and Osman wont be shifted out for injury/age reasons. But there could yet be a big name departure from that list.

Tom Cleverley has been drafted into the England squad following the withdrawal of Ryan Mason through injury.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mason picked up a knock in training and left Roy Hodgson’s St. George’s Park camp on Friday.

Mason made his debut in Italy in March

Cleverley, who has 13 England caps, will join up with the squad ahead of the trip to Dublin for Sunday’s fixture against the Republic of Ireland.

The 25-year-old’s last appearance for England came during the 1-0 defeat to Germany at Wembley in November 2013.

Meanwhile, The FA is reminding fans travelling out to Dublin to cheer on the Three Lions this weekend to Follow England Away in the right

I'm guessing you think that Ross or McCarthy are on their way out. No one is going to buy Osman, Gibson, or Barry. Can't see us selling Besic: too much potential and one Martinez's Everton-era discoveries. I'd imagine Ross's fee is much depressed after this season. Can't decide which of those two players would be the biggest loss for us.

I think Barkley is great; sometimes though I think he's not great for us at the point we're at now. We shouldn't have to sell him to push on this window with the tv cash pouring in, but we all know what these owners are like. He may need to be sacrificed yet. McCarthy is a cornerstone of this team. I cant imagine a scenario where he's not wanted by Martinez...though signing a new contract is required as soon as possible.

Thought i'd have a look on VillaTalk to see how badly they're taking the news this post from a few days ago

I have no ITK but i'm confident we will sign him in the summer. TS has resurrected his career and looking at his body language he is loving playing for us. He also also forged a great partnership with Delph and Westwood.

The whole Everton / Martinez thing is just media / agent BS. Everton have had a bang average season and Martinez is hardly tearing up trees there, so it's hardly a dream move of him. On paper Villa have much more potential and I think he will see that.

Sweet Baby Jesus and the orphans :blush:lol
