I thought he kind of disappeared a little when he got shifted out wide, but put in a solid shift before then. Did well getting the ball out quickly under that tough pressure from Dier and Carroll.
 


I'd say this was the honeymoon phase with Cleverley... He's a tidy player who works hard and I think it benefits him a lot being in a good footballing side (probably why he struggled at times with Villa last year).

Don't go overboard either way. He's not a world beater, but he's not a poor player either.

He ended up being the spine of that Villa team, they we're gutted when he decided to leave.
