Interesting, but then you’d expect your central midfielder to pass the ball. Them stats don’t say how he puts the team under pressure continually by firing the ball to a player with two men around him.

No, that's true.

But I don't think he actually does that as often as you seem to think?

Well I’d worry if our coaching team don’t look at the moments we nearly give away goals to determine weak areas in our game.

It’s an entirely valid criticism. I support Davies and love to see him playing well (thought he stood his own against a strong Leicester midfield) but I also wouldn’t ignore a moment in the match where we nearly needlessly threw the game away. As much as I enjoyed the team performance there’s still areas where we need to improve.

But we aren’t the coaching team. He also took a yellow card to stop them breaking at pace, which everyone knows is a weakness for us right now which he should be praised for. But the focus on this one pass by some has made it as if he was awful and was our worst player. Because he isn’t as skilful as Bernard (who I’m a big fan of) he is getting criticised much more when Bernard’s pass actually led to a goal. We forced Barkley out, we forced stones out, let’s not do it again.

Yes he did have a good game, particularly 1st half.
The people who rate Davies always blame the fans for him not being as effective as he should, if he has a bad game or makes a bad pass, it's the fans fault. Yet, when he does something well, they go on about for games. Yeah he wasn't the best v (insert team name), but he played a great ball to Tosun v (another team) 4 games ago. It'll still be happening in a couple of seasons when he's putting in below average performances for us.

We looked much better when he went off against Leicester and that was because we were carrying him, again. The only thing he has on his side is youth, he has played over 50 games and hasn't progressed at all. The sooner we replace him, the better.

You are just so far wrong...

Tom Davies is improving all the time & has the potential to become a vital part of the resurgence of Everton football club...

Future Full England international this lad in my opinion within three years I would guess....

Come back in three years time & let me know your thoughts...

I beleive he may get a call within 12 months.

Apart from the goal, Richarlison wasn't really on it on Saturday, but he can get away with because of his position.

The Arl arses are toxic to the development of young talent. They heap unnecessary pressure and want instant results.

I disagree with the Richarlison thing mate I thought he was excellent. Ran the channels, won headers, held it up, got that yard dog Morgan sent off and most importantly scored.

But yeah, I agree with the other part.

Yet he lost possession more than any other player on the pitch, mate.

So he must be crap...

He was, he played well imo (obviously you're perfectly fine to judge otherwise!). He stretched Leicester's defence which is what gave Bernard and Gylfi the space.

Apart from scoring, being a constant threat, and winning 2 fouls which led to a sending off, allowing us to take control of the game and win it, what have the Romans ever done for us?
