The last couple of years has been some of the worst football we've played during the Premier League era, despite spending more money than ever. Richarlison, Walcott, Digne, Gylfi and Bernard all get a brilliant reception from the crowd. That's because they all perform well the majority of the time, you can't expect people to get excited over absolutely dire performances from players.

Yeah, except for when we're not winning a game and we let the opposition hit the bar and then everyone boos.

But it’s just my opinion that our fans are the worst about. Why are you trying to stop me having an opinion?
The worst about, despite: selling out home and away, 24 years without any silverware, having a vastly more successful neighbour, having hardly any excitement in any seasons and not having had a pot to piss in for two decades.

Definitely the worst fans about. Get a grip of yourself.

Right so our fans are amazing because they turn up? No it doesn't work like that. Being inside the stadium on a match day tells you all you need to know about our fans. It's an unpleasant experience.

Do they have to spend their hard earned money? No. They do it because this is their club and they want the best for it. But no, let's have your view and make excuses the millionaires who continually let down their loyal fanbase. I feel so bad for them.

I wonder how the would have coped when Evertonians would launch pillows from the stands during bad performances?

Play good - good atmosphere
Play like you care - good atmosphere

Play badly and don't put in an effort - you'll know about it.

It's as simple as that. Give me our fans over the likes of Bournemouth's who'll clap anything.

Who made an excuse for the players by the way? All I did was give a fan’s opinion on the match going experience and fellow fans.

So the players didn’t care in that first half against Fulham? Or did they just not play that well? Because they got booed and hissed at for daring to go in drawing against another Premier League team. In the context of where we’re actually at in this infant stages of our rebuilding process, that isn’t good support actually, no. No matter how much money has come out of your direct debit that month.

You're implying that the atmosphere affects the team, otherwise, why continually bring up what the fans do? We could boo for 90 minutes straight, it shouldn't stop the players putting in a shift.

No, they didn't look like they cared one bit in that first half vs. a newly promoted team. Do you want us to be jumping to the rafters after watching Fulham be the better team?

Would any other clubs' fans with ambition be cheering it off at HT, btw?

The Mancs cheered off the team at the weekend despite being 2 nil down against the barcodes.

It wasn't in appreciation of the performance, more as a sign of encouragement.

What, where have I done that? And where have I said I want us jumping from the rafters when drawing 0-0? Are they the only two reactions possible, booing and seething or jumping for joy?

As for your last little snippet, you know who didn’t boo off at half time when drawing against a lesser side at home without playing great? Arsenal against us. Feel free to tell me more about our great club’s lofty ambitions though.

Do you seriously think it doesn't? Have you ever performed in front of a crowd? Had to give a speech, done karoake, been captain of your own footy team? You think 40,000 people judging your every move and ready to boo you if you make a mistake doesn't have an effect?

That's the thing, everything has to be black or white with some people. There's no in between.

Funnily enough the same goes with Davies for the same people.

That’s the whole point I’ve been getting at all along. Our fans are an unbearable, self-serving, instant gratification-seeking shower, both at the match and online for varying reasons. The amount of people calling for a manager’s head 5 games into his reign on social media and this forum exemplified this. The need to feel like you’ve been proven right so you don’t look a tit or get “vaulted” is paramount.
