Yeah, I’ve played in football teams when I was younger and I have to regularly give presentations/briefings in work. Like with anything in life, if you do it enough times, you get used to it.

If they’re that precious, they should give up the millions, as football clearly isn’t for them.

To how many people exactly? You will obviously have some idea of what it feels like then to have to perform in public. Now imagine doing the same to 10, 100, 1000 times as many people. How many times is 'enough times' to get used to that?

I imagine people stand at the back howling whenever the projector freezes too and shouting "GET OUT YER NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR DIS GREAT COMPANY"

The Mancs cheered off the team at the weekend despite being 2 nil down against the barcodes.

It wasn't in appreciation of the performance, more as a sign of encouragement.
They also booed though, as could be clearly heard on TV and has been reported by virtually all news outlets. They also booed the team during a Champions League draw in midweek, against a more than decent Valencia side. I've already said in this thread that some fans have been a little OTT with Davies at the match, but let's not get into the territory of making out our fans are a million times worse than everyone elses. We've got idiots who support us, same as everyone, there's no need to airbrush history to make it sound like we're worse than we are.

Not comparable to booing 7 games into a new manager's reign at the start of a major rebuilding job, when we were a poor mid-table team with crap/average players to begin with. And calling for said new manager to be sacked all over social media 5 games in.

I didn't watch the Valencia game but when the halftime whistle went against Newcastle there where initially some boos but I thought that overall there was more cheering than booing. Totally agree about the idiots bit though.

But i'm not the one making the comparison. You can't say 'United fans cheered the team off when they were losing but we booed when we were drawing' as if that's definitive proof of a difference between the levels of support when only some of our fans booed and only some of their fans cheered. It's a blatant misrepresentation of the facts to suit the argument, so i'm calling it out.

I absolutely don't condone our fans booing us off at 0-0, but to make out like other fans don't do it is just plain wrong. I go to plenty of away games, I've seen our fans going apoplectic with righteous indignation that opposition fans at the likes of Palace and Fulham have dared to boo their team off for not beating the mighty Everton. It's daft and it betrays a weird mentality, but it happens everywhere.

Again though, Davies has definitely come in for some unnecessary stick recently, and it's very sad to see.

I hope he takes some confidence out of the last couple of games. Silva obviously has faith in him and seems a popular figure amongst the players - it's now up to him to crack on from here if he wants an industrious future at Everton.

We've finished nowhere near Arsenal for the vast majority of the past 15 years, what on earth are you even talking about now? They had a front 2 that cost £100m against us and we had Dominic Calvert-Lewin, are you saying the teams were evenly matched just because the mess of a former manager we had spent loads of money on players that aren't even here anymore?

You have failed to convince me that our fans aren't awful, deluded and impatient whining brats that make the match day atmosphere and online experience hideous to take part in. I am leaving it here for the day, I bid you farewell.

Any chance of making your farewell permanent, on this crowd subject only. It is pointless, tiresome and repetitive. I take it you have given up going, as who in their right mind would voluntarily endure an "online experience hideous to take part in".

I'm glad the opinions on this forum aren't what's echoed on the terraces. Everyone has faith in Tom on match days, why can't the good people on this forum? He's still young and learning.
I don't hear much in the form of encouragement where I'm sat tbh. It's more moaning and swearing when he turns to play a simpler pass other than a more expansive ball.

Its weird to me that adult supporters defends trashing a 20 year old kid doing his best and working his socks off. Attack the manager picking him if he’s not good enough, not Tom himself.
