Think it would do him the world of good.
There's something to be said for keeping him here and letting him train alongside Gomes everyday, he'll learn more watching and working with him than playing in the championship. He's had plenty of playing time now so doesn't really need a loan to aclimatise to senior football per say.

We can't loan him unless someone else comes in. He's next in line for both Gana and Gomes, and like it or not they won't be able to play or go 90 every week. I'd much rather just sell Schneiderlin and have Davies and Beni as backups while we search for additional players to add to the midfield. I don't think he's even close to the level required and Gomes his demonstrating that now, but he's the next best for what we currently have.

Madison is overrated for me, but yes, they're still well ahead of Tom in terms of quality.Have you guys ever watch James Madison and David Brooks or that kid who comes from France and plays for Arsenal?
They are first year in epl and I think they are ahead of Davies in almost every angles.

This mythical centre mid we will buy who is happy to sit on our bench but good enough so that if Gomes got injured we wouldn’t notice the difference and would also be so much better than Davies that it would be worth the money we would waste on buykng a backup player.

They haven't been found out yet but teams are already learning about Madison in particular. Remember Dele Alli first season. All young players have their weak area's discovered and they have to learn how to cope with that.Have you guys ever watch James Madison and David Brooks or that kid who comes from France and plays for Arsenal?

The other thing is that all supporter focus on their own young players shortfalls, but only see the good in opposing young players. I was talking to a Leicester fan on here and he was saying Chilwell and Grey get slaughtered on their forums, but half of the posters on here would have snapped their hands off to get them last summer.

Yeah, we won't be able to get a superstar or anything for that role, but there are young players out there better than Tom in World Football I'm sure we could attract as a next in line central midfielder.

They also overlooked Wan Bissaka, and I don't think any would claim Kenny is currently a better player. Players get overlooked for several reasons. Some just need a full chance.

And apologies, but I'm not taking a Koeman or Allardyce decision on a player as anything worth noting on player evaluation.

I like Beni. Quite a lot actually and think he can become our long term successor to Geuye. But I still think he's a bit behind Davies at the moment. I'd like to see us get rid of Schneiderlin in January, which would leave us with McCarthy, Beni and Davies as back up to Gomes and Geuye. I think Davies can learn a lot training with Gomes, and I also think the manager will be giving him specific 1-1 training in his weak area's.
I'll be happy if Davies just get's the odd 20 minute cameo's over the next few months and the longer he is out of the starting line up, the less stick he is going to get. When he comes in he'll still be playing against top drawer opposition. but maybe not in the same high pressure situations when the fans are expecting him to dominate midfields full of experienced Internationals. It's a shame the animosity towards him grew to the extent it did but hopefully now he's out if the firing line, he can develop at a pace more akin to his age.
Hope he makes it here but he still has a lot of developing to do before he's ready to start more than the occasional game. He's with the right manager now to do that though.
