If you watch the 5th goal yesterday, it's typical Davies - under no pressure, plays the ball backwards, runs into right back position. He's not even created space as he's drawn no one with him.

A player with absolutely no positive traits.
Haha, I looked at the forums last night and thought thats odd no post on Davies yet, I’ll bet the first post on him will be a negative one and it’ll be either by you or sageyefc . Well done on being the one. Let’s put this into perspective, Davies was crap against Spurs along with many others. Yesterday we won 5-1 , he appeared and did ok nothing more nothing less. Certainly nothing that warranted more negative attacks on him . Weird.

Or maybe not so weird , people watch the same thing and see it differently. My memory of the fifth goal was Davies getting the ball , looking to move it right to Coleman but he was being closed down , so he took the safe option short pass to Mina , I think. Mina then moved forward into the space that Davies had come out of , Davies dropped back to cover him if something went wrong as Coleman was further forward, then moved forward himself. I wouldn’t argue that Davies did something spectacular, it’s worrying that he hasn’t got that in him, I could argue he created the space for Mina to move into , but to criticise him for his involvement in our fifth goal is just , well weird.

His problem is he does a lot of things decent, but nothing above that level, throw in physically he's neither fast or powerful, and it's hard to see him developing suddenly into being good enough for a top half side as a starter.

Kind of another ebrell

His defensive stats are much better this season though mate. Making far more tackles/interceptions/recoveries. He's also getting on the ball better, making about twice as many passes at a higher % rate. Will he be good enough? I have no idea. However he is starting to develop the skills you would expect from a lad who plays in a double pivot. I put a lot of this down to the work Silva is doing on the training pitch. We actually improved when he came on at City for example.

Has had 2 good games, watch him disappear for the next 10 like he did so many times for us. Also he has exactly the same goals and assists as Walcott for this season.
Wrong. He was injured at the start of the season but since he's come back into the Watford side he's been excellent, has built up a partnership with Perrier(?),has created goals and scored a few. He's a key part of the Watford team and even scored in the 87th minute...so his stamina must be improving!

I am proud and indeed reassured that @sageyefc agrees with me on DCL, Davies and Pickford.

I noriced he had Davies up ready To come on then changed for Bernard when they scored.
Can't work that how, if Davies was the right sub and not Bernard I don't see how them scoring changes things.
Weird that, showed he didn't really have a clear idea on what to do today.

He was going tactical as Gomes was goosed, and should have been done before one of the corners we got before Leicester scored

He realised that the easiest way to make the crowd happy after conceding, was to tell Davies to sit down.
