Oh come on. Fellaini is (and was) a vastly superior player to Davies.

He was good at playing a target man number 10 and being a difficult player to handle upfront. As for actually trying to do the whole playing football thing he wasn’t. Fellaini’s passing technique was awful, he didn’t understand the idea of playing the ball actually in front of the on rushing player at a decent pace. The amount of attacks that broke down because Fellaini would force a full back to check back and go back to the keeper because of his half arsed ball. But hey he used to get standing ovations for that sort of play so I guess he wasn’t bothered.

Fellaini is the epitome of anti football. He has many qualities undoubtedly that make him a great asset in a squad, but he is not conducive to flowing attacking football in anyway.
