Really poor from Tom on both goals, game passed him by 2nd half and he was running on empty from 65m onwards.

I’ll never understand why Everton fans always and consistently make up these opinions on players and they just stick with them.

Over the past year I’ve seen people berate Schneiderlin, Gylfi and recently even Delph saying they’re useless or crabs or whatever and then these same people call for Davies, Dowell and Baningime to be played ahead of them. Those are 3 lads who would never get near any other Premier League side but somehow they’re better than full internationals who’ve been playing at the top level for years. It baffles me how we constantly as a fan base we under rate these senior players and at the same time massively over rate the academy players just because they’re local. Does my head in.

I couldn’t care less if it was 11 foreign lads or 11 local lads in the team as long as we won but there’s this weird obsession that since Rooney we have some great academy and all they need is a chance. Any other team would’ve gutted the youth setup we have here and seen that the vast majority can only dream of being Championship players at best. Davies is crap and there’s still lads older than him with the youth team who we still pay every week to try to “compete” for places. Disgrace.

Davies was to blame for the 2nd goal. No doubt about it.
And....had a big part to play in their 1st goal. Silva also responsible through poor game management again.
I'm not a fan of Davies (far from it).

I like the lad but he had a shocking second half today. Problem is we have too few options in centre midfield and we will almost certainly have to play a pretty similar system on Wednesday.

Very disappointed with him today. Soft in the tackle and didn't want it enough. Cost us a result...
