I can't hate Neil really. He knew he was never going to get me in any other thread but he's been blowing kisses at me for weeks in here.

Hindsight is great. To be fair he was terrible in that current squad at times but at least he got his fair share of goals and assists. This prick Davies doesn’t even get any of them so has absolutely nothing to fall back on.

A present Coleman is not the same Coleman in 2013.

I compare Osman with Davies. While Osman was a decent squad player in his peak (under Moyes yes orly sunshine) the present Davies is not. You are clearer than that to understand do you?

He looks like he has 20lbs ankle weights on with the ball. Technically hes fine (good touch, decent feet), but moving with the ball, chasing down, or holding the ball up...he's weak. His legs seem as though they're in quick sand.

It's as though the pace of the league is too much for him. The only comparison is Osman but he had an intelligence about him, was nimble and had a better engine.

He needs to up himself physically to stand any chance imo.

Osman was a footballer. He was a Moyes favourite, and that often went against him.

He lacked pace and due to his size, was a little light weight, but I feel he was always given a bum deal.

Davies has played 105 games for Everton, and people still aren’t sure what his position is.

box to box? Not really 4 goals in over 100 games.
Holding midfielder? Too lightweight
Attacking midfielder? Can’t string a pass together.

The lad is young, but he’s not going to cut it. He’s just way below par, he’s managed 100games for Everton, yet Dowell can’t get a run. (I don’t rate Dowall, but he’s better than Davies).

With the unfortunate situation we found ourselves in with injuries, this season saw Tom Davies being given a golden opportunity. Sadly, IMO, Tom (who I like a lot) has squandered a good chance to give the manager something to think about and stake a solid claim in any future setups; instead, I feel all he gave Carlo Ancelotti to think about is who he should replace him with next season. I'm still hoping Davies will come good though.

Davies was given an opportunity that he definitely did not deserve this season and should be thanking his lucky stars that we literally had nobody else to play instead of him, as this run in the side, somehow, may have given him an exit from Everton and chance to secure a long term future in the game. One thing is for sure, if he stays with us his inevitable exit will see him drop much lower than if he leaves now.
