I compare Osman with Davies. While Osman was a decent squad player in his peak (under Moyes yes orly sunshine) the present Davies is not. You are clearer than that to understand do you?

Osman is 20 times the player that Davies will ever be.

And I only really class Osman as being "alright".

The board are desperate for us to have a homegrown talent in the squad especially after Ross jibbed us off.

That's the only reason we have persisted with him. 100 games is unbelievable. He's had about 5 good games in there if you're being incredibly generous.

Yes for sure. To be honest it's a bit of a bizarre thing to insist upon actually, as rightly or wrongly we've hardly cherished Osman, Hibbert, Barkley, Anichebe etc. who have come through the academy in the last twenty years. It seems to be something that the Board think we need more than the fans.

No. I said he was miles ahead because another poster compared him with Davies. In comparison with Davies, Osman was a decent squad player that’s was all I said #5305. Utterly bizarre you must be the one. Must still be crying in the dark about the neg thing.
 
He knows he nowhere good enough and no one else is going to offer anything like the wages he's getting.

But Davies is the symptom of a much bigger problem in this club. Entrenched, deep rooted sentimentality.

We keep players far too long. Even when it's obvious they're not good enough, they hang around for years.

It's Kenwright's well meaning but ultimately malign romanticism.

We have to be far more ruthless in cutting players loose as quickly as possible.

You said that you didn't slate Osman under Moyes and it took about 3 minutes to find the comments. It's very odd.

You're terrible, Tom Davies is terrible, Leon Osman was terrible. It's all good.
