The pen was for switching off and being totally unaware their player was on his shoulder.

I thought it was really rash tbh. Cant swing that hard when you aren't sure of your surroundings. Thankfully it didn't hurt us in the end but have to more switched on in future.

I just hope Carlo and Davide take the players for "aim at the swinging leg" coaching .... Along with Harry Kane's tunnelling move where hd doesn't jump for a header and topples an opponent for a free kick, the latest craze is for the opponent to run into the swinging leg before it strikes the ball.

Gomes has done exactly the same thing previously. Both players aren't reactive or have awareness around them defensively. They're also very slow.

Really needs to step up his workrate, off the ball awareness, his ability to track a man and proactively react to situations or he will forever be treading water at the level he is currently at.
He's always struck me he's so laid back he needs a rocket up his arse.

I thought Tom Davies had a decent enough game today. I said that we wouldn't beat Arsenal with Davies or Gomes playing in place of Allan... well, I was wrong, thankfully. The penalty was just one of those things. Both MIna and Davies should have dealt with the situation a lot better than they did.

True but again it comes down to 5 people, Martinez, Koeman, Chunky Samuel then Silva who are??? Then you have working with Ancelotti and if you are in his team you aren't shi*e. But at the end of the day it could go either way.
