Can be a liability, but he's only 22 look at holgate he still might improve never know I would keep him with us for a couple more seasons imo just incase the penny drops.
I would delete thread. If he played at his level for Welshpool or somewhere thenwho cares.

Deluded if you think that Tom is the answer to any of Everton's problems
Deluded to think he is the cause of our problems. ..... Overpromoted cos we spent £100m+ and shed loads of wages on the likes of Schneiderlein, Gylfi, Gomes, Delph who between the 4 of them have shown ultra top levels of footballing cowardice.

Yeah let's not focus on the swaggering experienced internationals who have tied up half a million a week in wages and a transfer outlay that would buy us player who could genuinely kick us in....... Let's focus on the 6th choice midfielder who cost us nothing and picks up a relative pittance to any of those I mentioned.

He’s had 130 senior games for us and has shown nothing, how long do you keep kicking the can down the road

Thought he was quite good penalty aside. He’s a good squad player to have long-term. Others ahead of him like Delph and Gomes will probably come and go but he’ll be there as 4th/5th choice in a fix.

Like i said couple of seasons, he never cost us anything just wages , I know hes not good enough at moment or even forever but just a slight chance he could improve is worth a wait imo you will always get any money back on him from maybe a championship club

There were instances of great craft from Tom yesterday, and much composure. Yes, he faded in and out if the game, especially in the second half, but perhaps he needs longer spells in the first team to adjust. The ensuing mix-up in the box that lead to the penalty was merely incidental in my book; these things happen, and as I mentioned yesterday was the fault (yes, he’s still learning his trade) of the ultimate match winner, Ben Godfrey whose initial indecision followed by the wrong decision allowed the ball to be hoofed into the box in the first place (a better strategy by young Ben would have seen us on the counter, but, again, these things happen with young players).

On yesterday’s reckoning, I’m beginning to warm to him and would like to see him in amongst Doucoure and Allan (hoping Allan makes his return sooner rather than later).

Contentious, I know, but worth a try in the current climate.

It's easy to criticise, isn't it, sitting in your lockdown armchairs whilst munching on your massive bowl of crisps! The fella did really well today. You could see he has listened to Carlo. Didn't make many mistakes, kept us in possession, broke up play. Nobody is saying he is a world-beater. Good attitude and work rate considering he doesn't play much. Well done Tom.
