Cowardly and useless. Championship level at best, which could come in handy if the worst comes to the worst. If not, get rid.
Cowardly is one word you cannot use against Davies, for years when times where bad and others didn’t want to know he never shyed away, was always open and wanted to try and impact things, regardless of wether he had the talent or not.

There is so many more past and present players I would label as a coward before him.

Cuco Martina for instance

Never met a challenge, block or header that he didn’t wuss out of

I don't think the naming of him as cowardly is aimed at him fearing conflict or a battle with other players, I can see he has a bit of bottle and is no weed.

However I do think he tries to hide from the ball when a pass from a team mate is on. I don't think he shows himself and runs in to space as he should, in fact it looks sometimes as he's deliberately putting an opponent between himself and the ball so he doesn't get it.

He's one of those players (in my opinion) that would rather try and win the ball than receive it and do something with it.

I think the performances we've seen recently from even Delph and Iwobi, plus Allan are far more useful to us than Toms contributions in the middle. He's certainly not seized his chance as Gordon has that's for sure, and he got a shed load lot of games to stake his claim.

Wrong at ever point, Davies was one of the few who consistently showed for the ball, it’s cowards like the 45 mil Sig who use to purposely mark a man when we were in possession who should be getting slated. Davies was always there, mistake or not.

You have to be joking about Iwobi and Delphi asli, honestly get real. Iwobi has been absolutely woeful since he signed he’s had a decent last 2 games that’s it, he’s consistently been labled as one of of worst ever signings value for money. Delph, don’t even start.

All opinions can't be the same sadly, and when I mentioned Iwobi and Delph I did say "recently" too.

He's in that same bracket as Holgate for me - a decent player but I think we've waited long enough for him to blossom now you'd think.

If they were all fit I'd still go with Allan, Doucoure and Delph ahead of him If the defence needed shielding, he loses the ball a lot and players tend to glide past him.

Him and Gomes have frightened me in midfield for some time.

Sadly for lots of us Tom was the player we wanted to make it. Playing with consistently [Poor language removed] midfield partners from his early days hasn’t helped. But the same can be said of Gordon, yet he has performed even when everyone else hasn’t. In my forever hopeful little mind I still keep hoping that it will just click and he’ll somehow find a way to perform, but this is Everton…
