Grew into the game yesterday. He does all the basics well that we have been screaming at senior pro's for not doing for 2 years. Never stands and admires his pass. Pass and move. Simple, effective and pushes you right up the pitch.

Was beaten too easily down the other end once or twice, but he can work on that.

Very encouraging so far. Would like to see another start in the FA Cup, and possibly another cameo off the bench against Man City.

Davis a lovely side rule simple great through ball to Lukaku as well just the ball he needs = goal!

Says about about a youth player to win over all the fans without playing that much for the first team, and when he does get the chance its like hes been playing in the prem for years. Another great prospect!

Thing is, he's good enough now, it's not waiting for improvement or being excited about potential.

Obviously I hope he's consistent and improves even further but even right now he's good enough. He just looks like he belongs, much more accomplished than Barkley and Rodwell were at his age.

Hawsksbee and Jacobs were extremely impressed by him. Andy Jacobs said he had a flashback while watching him, and imagined him in white boots, he reminded him of Alan Whittle!

I did text in, and he laughed his head off when the producer told him he was his nephew!

He doesn't play anything like his uncle though. Whittle was a striker so I don't know why he would pluck his name out of the air without knowing. If there was any comparison from that era especially with white boots then it would be Ball. I hope people don't compare him to the greatest player I have seen in an Everton shirt though

It was more his appearance. It was just a random comment that he made, "Tom Davies made me think of Alan Whittle"

For the record, to my knowledge, I have never seen Alan Whittle play.
