We could always get the old 1.
Don't you dare compare this kid to the greatness that is Tomas Davidinho. There are people who don't rate this kid. Christ on a broke bike.
If he was Tómas Davidinho from Brazil he'd be hailed by everyone as the second coming of Lord Jesus.
There was also a brother Graham who played for Wrexham about the same time , early 70s , family looks , not the hair , terrific shot on him don't think Graham played higher than old 2nd division, but obviously a footballing family. oh , and it was about this time of the season, maybe a bit later , that Alan burst onto the scene for us and added some much needed zest to the team.It was more his appearance. It was just a random comment that he made, "Tom Davies made me think of Alan Whittle"
For the record, to my knowledge, I have never seen Alan Whittle play.
Some clown of a Blue on Radio Merseyside in some 6 til 7 programme yesterday went as far as saying that Davies had had a poor game!!!Ha a 6 in the echo player ratings. Completely clueless.
What Nancy "These boots are made for talking" ?Positively surprised to see that Tom's a bit of a weird kid in comparison to the rest of the dressing room. Cites Sinatra and the beatles as his favourite acts. I appreciate an intelligent footballer more than most, people i guess.

Not yet anyway. If people start making comparisons in a year or two there may be more substance to it. I for one would be delighted if he turned out to be half as good.He doesn't play anything like his uncle though. Whittle was a striker so I don't know why he would pluck his name out of the air without knowing. If there was any comparison from that era especially with white boots then it would be Ball. I hope people don't compare him to the greatest player I have seen in an Everton shirt though
