Won't lie, never really heard of him till the end of last season, and thought he'd not feature at all this season, in a a team with a huge amount of rebuilding and money spending on it, having a lad come through whose instantly going to be a feature for the next however many years is a massive plus, next hope is that he kicks on next season and Kenny does what he has done this season and makes himself an integral part of the first team squad.

One a year coming through saves us spending 10-20m on a player and allows us to focus on the areas we really need to bring quality in

Aye if Kenny can stake a claim ( and I see no reason why not ) that could be another 10-15m saved. Got to give these lads a chance to see if they have what it takes to be part of the squad.

Didn't rate the decision to take him off. If anything it should have have been Holgate off with Davies to RB.

It speaks volumes about how established he now is in the first team that both Koeman and our fans were happy to see him go off after a poor opening 25 minutes. With other youngsters you may fear that it would damage their confidence but Davies is a regular starter and it was a rare occasion where he actually looked like an 18 year old kid as opposed to the mature player we've seen since his breakthrough around Christmas time.

He deserved to be taken off. He was giving the ball away regularly and like Barkley against Sunderland away, needed to be replaced as his decision making yesterday was detrimental to the team.

Would say he was one of the standout performers in the whole season though and seems to have an excellent attitude too.

I was in the pub watching he arsenal game and I made the same joke to my mate. No word of a lie, about 30 seconds later Davies gave the ball away and some arl grump starts calling everything.
