Hope his agent has Tom's best interests at heart,or he could be on the scrap heap at an early age, like so many before him.

.....depends on what you mean by scrap heap. He comes from a very solid family and they took a lot of time to ensure this contract was in the boys best interest. He'll be a very wealthy boy.

If the investment in Everton is as we hope it will be increasingly difficult for youngsters to break through, the bar will be higher and they will have to be very special. That's the reality, we need a higher standard if we want to progress to the next level.

Think you know what I mean Eggs, a number of players have their heads turned at an early age, but I agree in what you say.

....football family, Matey. His brother has just been released by Tranmere so the lad knows the pitfalls and his uncle is Alan Whittle so he has a lot in his favour. The biggest challenge for these youngsters is breaking through and getting that life changing contract. Tom has that but will have to prove he's worth a place in the team.

Think he should be getting more game time, he could be the ready made Barry replacement and he could learn a vast amount from him. I hope we've got him on a training regime to become just that.

No need to rush him - he's just turned 18. If he was good enough right now he'd be playing - simple as - just how Holgate has been.

He got a lot of minutes in pre-season and I think it's clear Koeman sees he has talent. He's training with the first team which can only be a good thing - same goes for Dowell.

My new prince wont be some floppy haired clown who plays in childs shin pads.

Gueye will keep me going until he returns.

i think his beard is the bigger issue here
