Tom didn't do himself any harm at all last night, very assured when he came on and helped close the game down by adding an extra man in the middle of the park, as per Koeman's instructions I'm sure.

Played one very nice through ball too. Hope he gets more cameos like that and maybe even starts in cup games. Would rather see him getting game time than Gibson or Cleverley, I'd argue he's as good as them two already and he could kick on much further than their levels of ability.

Third choice centre mid now hopefully.

I'd imagine he was doing the job he was asked to do when he came on. Can't think of anything he did wrong. Looks calm on the ball and i'd imagine he could be our 3rd choice CM now. Maybe a start against Norwich in the EFL Cup on the cards. Like all young players they need minutes on the pitch to improve and it seems Koeman is happy to give him that chance.

Played well but think he'll still be behind McCarthy at least in the pecking order.

Might get a start vs Norwich but he's still got a long way to go.

It was funny when Sunderland's Dingdong tried to flatten him - probably jealous of his natural blonde curls as opposed to the muppet show wig he was sporting !

Might get a couple of games in the early stages of whatever the league cup is called this year.

Would like to see him and gueye line up along side each other in a prem game soon. Maybe over the coming month. Would be interesting to see how that pairing would work out.

It might be a bit too soon, but feel gana is good enough to help him through it.

Hope not, as that would mean Barry wasn't in there and him and Gueye are currently forming an axis of aceness.

Yeah I agree they should remain our first choice pairing, but we need to prepare ourselves for life after Barry. This could be his last year, and replacing him is one of the biggest challenges we face in the transfer market.

In Davies we have a player with immense potential and think he could learn alot from gana and Barry over the course of this year. So giving him games alongside gana to form a partnership in games against lesser opposition seems a smart move.
