Without sidetracking too much , I think you're both right and wrong in your Conor Grant sentence. He's a decent player at lower levels, but not good enough in my view to get into our best U23 team. The Ipswich move wasn't his fault , somebody didn't do their homework on Mick McCarthy , he's got a poor record when it comes to giving young loan players a game. The young Arsenal player Ainsley Maintland-Niles was there last season and ended up having a row with McCarthy , basically he played only 3 games, and he's a better prospect than Grant. So while I don't believe Grant will make it with us, its harsh to say he " stank the place out at Ipswich " .

I agree with you about Davies though! Plenty of time to develop him this season and next, but would like to see him on the bench a bit more and getting 10-20 PL mins regularly.

Maitland-Niles played way more than 3 games didn't he? I thought he was basically first team all season.

Fair point though, Big Mick can't be the easiest manager to get on with and I can't recall any young player he's bought through ever!

As for Grant at Ipswich, whereas 'stank the place out' may be a little harsh for a young guy, he wasn't great. Hence getting sent back here.

Surely seen the last of him now? Surely.

Actually, I thought we'd seen the last of Jagielka the other week. Then he started the next game.
Yeah you would hope but I can still see Snivs getting on the bench before Davies as RonKoe hates the youth. I expect a repeat of the Jags situation with Sinvs being benched rather than starting
