I've got stick as a lone voice on Lukaku for years in terms of his negative impact on our play, yet now it seems the majority think the same way.

I started my anti-Rom brand during his highest scoring season for us. Just saying

Back on subject I hope Davies is given more opportunity at some point, like what I've seen of him, if we don't start a run of form in the new year I feel we have nothing to lose in giving the odd youngster a run in the team, some of the seasoned pro's aren't exactly cutting it.

I don't think Barry is as awful as some make out, but he's not been playing well recently

If a senior pro's form is as bad as Gaz The Baz's, then I think it's only right to try a younger player in case his youthful impetuousness has a positive effect on the team

If it doesn't, then what have we really lost in that scenario?

Been saying this for a while and IMHO amongst a good crop of youngsters I am most optomistic about this lad.

It's nothing personal against Barry, the whole team is just appalling whenever he's on the pitch. Doesn't work for the type of game we want to play.

To me, form is all important

Barry is good but out of form, Clev is out of form and poor, Davies is good and hasn't had a chance to build some form yet. I'd rather give him a chance to find some form from an even keel than have the other two try and find some from underneath

Makes sense to me to give the lad a go. We have very little to lose at this point, as we're probably losing to Leicester regardless, so we might as well let Davies get some minutes under his belt
