Reading between the lines from the above it seems fair logical to infer that he won't be playing much and is probably being considered for the backroom staff. He will likely be on reduced wages. Maybe it's a 2 year deal with 1 year playing then moving into coaching for the 2nd year? No need to get so hysterical lids.

And also, some people don't still don't appreciate just many games we could have next season, a run in the Europa League and the cups, we could end up playing 70 odd games. Is Seamus Coleman supposed to play in everyone of them, even against eastern European rubbish in the Europa League and lower league opposition in the cups?

I don't buy that - never have. Right-backs shouldn't have a lot of last-ditch stuff to do. That's what centre backs are for. Hibbo was so often the last man, and so often saved us.

Sure, he was beyond gash going forward - but he deserves credit for his defensive capabilities.

I don't care if he is on a deal where it is appearance based whilst doing his coaching badges, mentors younger lads, and generally has a lot to offer behind the scenes - send him to Tranmere... We could put that £300k-£500k per year into the pot to buy Romelu for £25m...
