Tony Hibbert

The lad should be no where near the 1st team , thought he was very good today thou against a top class winger

Hibbert was at fault for their second goal imho.

Besic? (i think) played a ball up to the right hand side, an area coleman would have bombed into (acres of space available), and Hibbert watched the ball run out of play slowly under no pressure and made no attempt to be on the end of the pass. This resulted in a throw in for Man U, doesn't sound too bad, but from that they forced Howard into making that dodgy clearance and then Falcao fluked his way to a goal.

The whole situation of the ball running out of play in the manner it did, took our players by surprised and for about a minute everyone turned off. It cost us. Had hibbert collected the pass, he would've have a chance to run into the box again (weird saying that about hibbo) or cross it...
Haha yes, Hibbert was at fault....

Hibbert solid again. Certainly one of our best performers across last couple of games. Neat tidy passing today too, I knew he could do it. Won a pen with some nice Pienaar link-up play.
Thought ot was surely his moment before Shelvey that egg-headed cretin snapped him down.

Well if he collected the ball we would've been on the attack in a dangerous position. Not on the back foot.

That's all i'm saying...
I agree... But that is slightly different to saying he was at fault for the goal.... Partly to blame perhaps... But good observation nonetheless.... We defo need Coleman back, if not Browning should be starting...

Yea ok maybe i'm a bit knee-jerky saying it was his fault.

But my point is being that the play they made to force Howard into that god-awful clearance, which Howard should've done better with individually anyway, was Hibbert's fault for making no attempt to receive an open ball.

Coleman is sorely missed, best RB in the league. Changes our attacking dimension too, makes us more unpredictable and teams sit a bit deeper knowing we have 2 very capable fullbacks. Dealing with just 1 (Baines) is way easier for them.

Hoping Browing will cement a place ahead of Hibbert now, should start vs Villa.

such a shame coleman was injured, would have been enthralling to see him up against di maria - any RB in world football will struggle with di maria, so i won't criticize tony too much, but it would have been a good barometer to see how far coleman has come since the benfica game vs di maria.

Yes ignore the other TH { HOWARD for not booting the ball into row Z } so we could get our sub on!
Totally agree,I was right behind that and you just knew that clearance would fall straight to Rafael(I think)schoolboy error from us yet again and its costing us week in week out now,I was half hoping he'd chin RVP near the end for a red card, then it dawned on me who would replace him.:D

We all like Hibbo, of course. But FFS, even with Coleman out he's never the best option when you have that lad Browning coming through.

Where has Martinez's boldness gone to? There's simply no rational reason you'd stick with Hibbert.
