Don't call other blues kopites for having a different opinion.
Except of course in the biggest game of his life in the Cup Final when he played awful.

Huge game in which he played awful yes, just forget about the other 10 years hey ;)

Kopite :coffee:

The other 10 years where he was at best average and hindered us attaching down the right.

Very disappointing that you would call another blue a kopite for not rating Hibbert.
I actually think he was a good player, however do not start calling people kopites for disagreeing with you.

It was playful, shame that people don't appreciate the service of players like Hibbert yet put themselves into a coma of pleasure over Besic for example who cant stay fit enough to play more than 20 games a season ?

All hail our Huyton hero.

He was very decent circa 2003-2005 or something though, wasn't he? Best right back by that ACTIM index thing or something around then I believe.

Still not much in attack, mind, but decent.

Mediocre at best poor usually.

He had one trick, the slide tackle when alongside an attacker. Awful in possession.

He was quite a prospect when younger but he just never got better. Never improved.

He did produce a couple of classic own-goals, dived at Turf Moor and got a penalty once, ditto at Old Trafford,
terrible Cup Final. But will be forever figure in Everton quizzes as the bloke who played 330 odd games without
scoring or coming close.

Eh.. that's it.

He was extremely limited going forward and I would often cringe when he was in possession up the flank but all in all I like him, think Moyes' tactics and him were a perfect fit.

Been a good servant to the club always tried and had many good games. Unfortunately one of his worst games came in the cup final and that has tarnished people's view. He played in all the season's when Moyes did well and was probably part of our strongest back 4 in that time Hibbert-Jagielka-Lescott-Baines. However at the end of the season he needs to retire and we need someone in that is a viable option to Coleman. All in all Hibbert was an asset but now his time to go is here.

Was in the pictures of the first team squad training this week and think he might be in the travelling squad for United.

Doubt he will make the bench like.

still the best defender at the club despite being 136.

John Stones could learn a thing or two about defending from watching Tony.
