When you see how we've played since our early season form it shows how poor this league is that we were in position to go second. Anybody who thinks we are playing ok needs to have a serious look at our team beyond the starting 11. At present we are unlikely to get top 4 and if we did i would fear an embarrassing in the champions league next season unless the squad is significantly improved

Nobody is really ripping it up this season. Cant think of any team you look at and go wow they're playing great stuff. Leeds stick out a bit. As long as you dont mind the batterings they also take.

I think top 4 is probably not realistic but we will soon get Allan and Digne back and maybe strengthen in Jan. Richarlison has been out of form, will probably get better and James is about to come back, so again positives. There have been some very strange results this year and yesterday's game could have gone our way easily even though it was a poor performance. I find we are a bit bi-polar in here, one bad result and it's all doom and gloom. I don't think many here thought we would be where we are now at the start of the season so let's try to keep on an even keel and enjoy the ride.

We aren’t a top 4 contender with the current squad. When Davies and Siggy play we have nothing creative. These two introduce a fear of passing the ball forward and insist on passing the buck to their team mates. I see some on here blasting players for losing the ball. I would rather see us losing the ball going forward and trying to create rather than the insipid re-cycling of the ball along the back line.
I had thought Carlo had them looking forward but obviously when they come under pressure to preform they revert to type and would rather hide.
We need another creative midfield player as we can’t rely on James to play and play well every week.

Only Manchester United have won more games this season. We have won the same amount as Liverpool.
Obviously only points matter, but it is still on until 3 teams start to look much better then us consistently

I don't think the fa cup is the major goal yet cos as others have correctly said, Everton are still right up there, whether that be C/L or a Europa spot (I have always thought that the league is only gonna be between Man City and Liverpool.)

Think we could finish above Spurs like but it’d probably take an injury to Kane (which isn’t unlikely tbf)

The kind of football we are playing we deserve to be bottom half never mind top 4, our attackers are static and the ball gets moved so slow, players are terrified to play a forward ball.

Its not . If we get champions league we will improve the squad again. This attitude of we are as well off not to qualify is ridiculous .

Liverpool city and United are so far ahead of us.

Chelsea and Tottenham have had a couple of bad results but will improve and go back ahead of us.

Well be battling with Leicester, Southampton maybe wolves for the Europa.

We have too many performances like last night though and it's weird, don't mind getting beat if you give it a go, but yesterday, Leeds, Southampton, Newcastle, United (H) all these losses have been awful performance wise and we just didn't turn up

You are forgetting Aston Villa, they will finish above us, still got games in hand and a better goal difference. Giving all the big teams a game..........

Relax. We’ve playing without 3 of our best for a month and won 4 of 5. Get them back and clicking and see what happens.
