you may as well have not wrote the rest because i stopped reading there. 8 days after he brought on two subs who changed 0 pts to 3!

Just like you may well of not bothered posting this seeing as you are obviously a moron. I mean if you are not going to read the whole post how can you see fit to not only pass judgment on it but also be so stupid to write a post declaring you out and out ignorance.

Yes the subs might of "worked" against villa but pienaar should of been on from the start and once again osman was left on not that you would have noticed the way he plays.

If liverpool, arsenal, city, spurs, utd or chelsea had their top.3 forwards out injured mate who.would they be starting up front. Its a serious question id like you to try answer mate, those answers may show why its a tad over the top your reaction imo

Lets not forget that we sold our second choice striker.

Traore was on the bench as was gerard, barkley was also dropped for fanboy, what other team would drop suarez/Oscar/ozil etc. for him?

I've already cheered myself up about today.

We're moving forward as a team, was just one bad result which we didn't deserve to lose.

The best thing is we only have three days to wait to put it right.

Mirallas, Coleman, Barkley, Barry & Baines were all guilty of holding onto the ball for too long at times I thought. Whilst some managed successful dribbles they really need to get their head up more often. Soon as you take a man or two out of the game then there should always be teammates waiting in space afterwards.

I noticed this - spent so much time screaming 'pass' at the tv. I admire the confidence but its misplaced at times

Cant believe that result. I wouldn't go as far and say we dominated the game up until they scored, but we had good spells and a number of half chances/chances to score and when you don't take a chance or 2, the opposition are always in the game and it only takes one chance for them to score and it did.

Though I didn't think it was a free kick to them, and actually it should of been a free kick to us with a foul on Ossie literally seconds before in the build up, I thought Barry should of shown more experience than to just give the ball back to Spurs and walk away from it, he should of either kicked it away or stood infront of the ball and let the rest of us get into shape and switched on and we did neither!

I don't know why or what it is but in the final third were becoming a bit clueless as to what pass to make, are decision making at times when we get it in good positions in the final third is poor. We don't look to play penetrative passes in behind, we don't work the angle for a cross, same goes for setting up a shot from distance, a lot of the time we get there and then go blank in the mind and make a pass or 2 more and spoil the attack, and it's becoming a regular thing through out the season and it's becoming are undoing and costing us games and points!

Weve got to be more decisive and clinical in our attacking play and put teams to the sword.

For the first time in a long time, if not all season, I do think Martinez made some mistakes with his subs today. Bring on Barkley fair enough, one of either Deulofeu or McGeady yeah, but the pair of them instead of Traore when we needed something up front, someone to look to play into and give us a focal point?! It didn't pay off unfortunately.

There's still a long way to go in the race for Europe, but after today im losing hope in us making Europe through the league at all. Weve done well this season, it's been a bit of a transitional one and to do aswell as we have as been great but I think Europe is gonna be a step too far for us now, unless we win the cup of course, but I just hope Martinez as got his targets for next season lined up and there of the quality that are gonna make the difference for us and turn games like today in to wins and take us on to the next level. Be tough cos others around us will spend and have better finances, but if Martinez can exploit the market again like he as done this season, I cant see why we wont do well again or even better if he can get in the required quality that we need to kick on?!

Yeah bit of perspective needed guys, if we'd won or drew this game would we be guaranteed top4?? Nope!

We were the better side, switched off for a moment and conceded a stupid goal. Was also denied a clear cut penalty that I still can't get my head round tbh.

We're without a fit striker, and trying to ease in 3-4 half fit players in Barkley, pienaar, McGeady, Delefoe.....

It's frustrating, not the end of the world. Top 4 was always going to be a challange and have a lot of ups and downs along the way. Liverpool have still not hit a bad patch yet, it should be on the way...if not, as much as I hate to admit it then they deserve 4th!

Lets not forget that we sold our second choice striker.

Who got as much stick as naismith on here for not being good enough mate, jela was 2nd choice down to kones injury, and would if he remained have slotted behind traore in the order.

Harsh reality is that if you go to.any teams 4th choice striker you arent gonna find lionel messi their like, christ have arsenal even got 4 on thrir books

Naismith and Osman did well in parts in the first half, but Osman missed all those chances. That, to me, cost us at least a point. We are not ruthless enough, and that is why we tend not to win when it really matters.

I don't doubt Naismith or oman's commitment, nor do I deny that they make valuable contributions at times. However, they are both limited players and when we come up against the top teams we need better options.

Some bellends on this forum who haven't got a clue about football!
Those artificial fans who think everything is either black or white..
One week Everton are amazing 'love you Everton' 'Alez Alez alez oooo'

Then next week
'Absolute ****e, seasons over now, we don't have the cutting edge..
'Osman and Naismith are ****e' - even though they both had a fantastic first half ...

haha Naismith did nothing, seriously he was being CHEERED by the Spurs fans in the 2nd half CHEERED, think about that.
Osman loses the ball, has no pace, misplaces passes and is caught in possession more often than not- but der he ad a gud shot lad in der match

I had no qualms with the team selection and the first half was fine. Martinez never got it wrong in that respect, IMO.

He was poor with his changes though, it didn't take a genius to see that Osman needed taking off a lot earlier than he was and he seemingly moved Naismith to the left wing which was just useless (the players were also giving him balls to run on to when he was knackered so he had no chance).

We were toothless in attack in the second half and I didn't really understand not bringing Traore on.

Anyway, Martinez is partly to blame in my opinion but the reaction from some is definitely an overreaction.
