Everton's major problem is so obvious and yet no-one seems to see it.... We have no balls. We're playing nice football but not where it matters... that will be sorted with a big striker like Traore to make for some snazzy link play in and around the box methinks. However, to finish 4th we need players who will drive us over the line when the odds are against us. Who will say "**** you" to the "big boys" and demand the same attitude from the rest of our flair players. We need a Roy keane, Patrick vieira, John terry, yaya toure, and dare I say it, Stephen Gerarrd (and even Suarez - the rat has passion, even if he is a rat!)... To be fair to moyes, he instilled that into our team even if we didn't have much flair... Now we have flair but no balls. We need proper leaders who will protect, encourage and fight for our young guns and right now we don't have any. We need some winners ffs!!!

The likes of jags, distin, Barry, osman etc. are good examples in terms of professionalism but they're too nice. I mean they're sound lads and all but as the old saying goes nice guys finish last. They're not winners. We need balls and we need winners. Right now we don't have them unfortunately.

The mask seems to be dropping mate?

Traore was on the bench as was gerard, barkley was also dropped for fanboy, what other team would drop suarez/Oscar/ozil etc. for him?

Traore plainly wasnt fit mate, he was in the team a strategic bluff to keep sherwood thinking really, barkleys isnt fit, its bloody obvious from.the derby, villa and this game hes about 60%

If you cant acknowedge osman played far far better than ross did against villa then i dunno what your watching

Martinezs sub decisions I think are getting worse. Almost getting back to moyes taking pienaar off and shoe horning Ross into RM all to keep on a player who needed coming off at half time coz he is the managers little teachers pet. The majority of are best play came down the left with pienaar took him off and totally unbalanced the side.

And as soon as spurs scored they just shut up shop and we where never breaking them down. Same problem not getting enought goals and taking our chances when they come. What happened to us beating teams 4-0. I know the team has been depleted with injurys but since WBA we have just not looked as good as we have done for me.

Lets just hope with players comming back we can really push on finish strongly and have a god cup run. I said at the start of the season I'd be happy with a top half finish. Am happy with Martinez this season but am going to reserve my judgement on him till the end of next season. Coz he has all that money to spend .

Also is it just me or is Barry getting more and more tired as the season goes on!

That's where I stopped reading. Last week against villa his changes were nothin short of fantastic and that has been the case regularly this season. Is your memory that of a goldfish?

haha Naismith did nothing, seriously he was being CHEERED by the Spurs fans in the 2nd half CHEERED, think about that.
Osman loses the ball, has no pace, misplaces passes and is caught in possession more often than not- but der he ad a gud shot lad in der match

I've thought about it, and I still trust my own eyes.. Maybe you should watch the match again.. I hate osman and Naismith, I believe they don't have that extra bit of quality needed...
In all honesty I think it's because they don't come from exotic parts of the world..
But I know for a fact, they both played excellent in the first half.. Even the commentators were saying it! Think about that!

The lack of real pace in the midfield means we have to be patient but come next game we will see the likes of Osman (who played well but ran out of legs) & Naismith (lead the line as best as he could & if Miralles would've slipped him through could've got a goal) replaced by Traore and Barkley.

We can also call on McGeady or Deulofeu for Pienaar.

Next 2 games could shape our season expectations.

For his 1st season, Martinez has been outstanding, it just a shame our board aren't the same.

Well, I haven't the energy to read all of the posts in here, certainly more negative than not.

Simple truth is that Everton bossed the match, Spurs got one shot on goal from a quick restart when Coleman, Jags and Distin were napping and to his credit, Adebayor made a world class play.

Everton played a boss first half then went into a shell in the second. Barry looked flat knackered out there.

Could Bob have made different subs, sure. Barkley was ineffective on the whole, McGeady was an interesting choice and D-Foo showed that he hasn't played a match in 2 months. Where else was he going to go on the bench? Vellios is invisible and Gueye was elbow deep in a tin of biscuits. Traore? He's obviously not fit.

So, please check the doom and gloom. 13 matches left to find points. 13 matches left for Adebayor to go off form.

Hard to think Everton can catch the ****e in their current form but hope springs eternal.

Tough loss today but a harsh one indeed.

Carry on.

Love the way quite a lot are saying we are too slow going forward. No shock I said this years ago.
We'll win Palace and we'll win Swansea. Never had a chance getting top 4 anyway lets be honest.

Yes we need a striker but IMO we need someone who can find that killer pass more than a goalscorer.

Ha tbh, I'm not really sure what my martinez mask represents anymore. I've become an avid Martinez fan in recent times, how can you not, he's sound and instilled good football (for the most part) but I still faults and the biggest fault if all right now is getting a solid pair of balls into our team. Badly needed to progress, end of

he wasn't though, he just had 4-5 chances in which you can turn the stat on its head and say surely if he was any good 1 of those would of been in the back of the net? would it take gerrard, ozil, Oscar etc. 4-5 good chances without a goal? apart from the good lloris save the other chances he should of done better.

Naismith is simply useless who because he runs around like a jarg stracularsi the lids love it and 1 goal turns him into Ronaldo, he is useless and isn't a PL footballer IMO ive always said that.
