no mate, you've misinterpretated me. i have never once said that we NEED those two to be injured for us to top them, i think we're the better team, they're just more clinical. But we still have a better team and a better squad - just had a horrid injury list right at the wrong time i.e. when we played them in a six pointer.

we battered them at goodison with both pretty much at full strength. i'm not looking for such happenings, just stating the fact that they are nothing without those two therefore you can't say it's a foregone conclusion, just in case that happens.

Sorry mate but some of those statements are crazy how can you say we are the better team with a better squad and then say when we play them at our place we drew 3-3 in the same sentence they have just battered us 4-0 and we were only missing coleman and distin initially and before Lukaku went off we were being battered

We win at Spurs and the gap is still 2 points...we draw and a four point gap opens....after beating us the RS struggled in their next game. City are struggling at Norwich....we are still in touch with 4th place whatever happens today. I think the breakaway three at the top will be a breakaway five within a few weeks. They were without Sturridge for about 8 games and Suarez missed the first 6, they've also lost Johnson and Enrique to long term injuries.

If we have the better team as it stands you'd think we would be ahead of them having played 20 odd games, really.

Fair points from realism to delusion in the same thread, the same way tonight some of their will be thinking they are in the title race. We can't catch them as we won't score enough goals, thats not a criticism of us but being respectful of what they can do.

lets be honest you were outplayed that day, had we not cocked up at the back for the 1st and distin giving away a needless free kick at the end for your 3rd that match was ours. outplayed, outpassed, more shots on goal etc. etc. Distin dropped a clanger like he always does against you lot.
